
Edem Kwame Yankah M.Arch., A.G.I.A.
A skilled architect with over a decade of experience, Edem has created sustainable spaces, provided technical insights, and has a solid understanding of space-user relationships throughout his career. His approach to design involves client consultation, comparison of global benchmarks, and the iterative development of design concepts. He is a member of the Ghana Institute of Architects and has worked on a variety of projects including the design of a cargo office for the Emirates airline, the redesign of Aviance Ghana (a Ground Handling & Cargo Company) warehouse front at the Kotoka International Airport in Ghana, a 1500-seat ultramodern church auditorium in Tema (Ghana), a 15,000 sq. feet multi-storey retail mall in Kumasi and a 17,000 sq. feet multi-storey mixed use retail complex in Accra. Across several countries, Edem has also collaborated on important large-scale retail, cultural, commercial, light industrial and residential projects. Edem’s main design philosophy is that the design should interact with its environment, which includes creating inviting communal spaces and outdoor areas with a sustainable outlook.
